Fall-related problems rise with age. It is estimated more than one in four individuals aged 65 and older experience falls annually and it is estimated a staggering 95% of hip fractures are attributed to falls. However, many falls can be prevented by employing these “Fall Prevention” strategies:

- Exercise regularly, wear proper footwear
- Remove home hazards
- Visit your ophthalmologist/optometrist annually
- Light up your living space
- Avoid alcoholic beverages
